Hey, Brandon.

Thanks for your comment!

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having a rough time. I know it can be painful when you feel like you’re not desirable for one reason or another. But before you get too down on yourself, there are a few things I’d like you to remember.

  1. There’s nothing wrong with being socially awkward. It may take a little longer, but I have faith that you will meet someone who gets you, and she (or he) will find your quirks delightful. Autism isn’t anything to be ashamed of. I’m sure you know that already, but it helps to hear it sometimes.

2. Our culture’s obsession with thinness can be pretty hard on people who don’t fit the ideal body type. I won’t discourage you from losing weight if you want to try, but do remember that there are limits to how much you can realistically lose and keep off. And there are plenty of people who are attracted to all body types.

I think you should be proud that you were able to work through your feelings without transforming them into misogynistic rage. Guys like you are proof that incels are liars.

If you ever need to talk to someone, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can find me on Twitter. At the very least, I can give you some free ebooks to take your mind off your troubles.
